Attorney Kitaeff, a former federal Bankruptcy Trustee, is the principal attorney at Kitaeff & Associates, P.C. Jeff has represented thousands of consumer and business debtors in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases.
In the late 1970’s, Jeff was appointed to the very first panel of trustees in the U.S. Trustee’s office, when that office was first created within the U.S. Department of Justice. As a result of the success of that program, the Office of the U.S. Trustee now includes 21 regions throughout the country, and over 1,000 federal bankruptcy panel trustees.
Jeff teaches Bankruptcy Law at the Massachusetts School of Law in Andover and has also taught Business Law at Merrimack College. He regularly speaks at seminars and other programs presented to trade groups, attorneys, and other professionals.
Jeff graduated from Clark University in 1971 and earned his J.D. from the New England School of Law in 1974. He is a member of the Boston Bar Association, the Lawrence Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA).
Jeff’s hobbies include listening to jazz and blues, drinking an occasional single malt scotch and playing a fair (but wonderfully enjoyable) round of golf.
Attorney Burnett is an associate attorney with Kitaeff & Associates, P.C., specializing in bankruptcy law. Josh graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 1997 and the Massachusetts School of Law in 2009. Prior to working as an apprentice with Attorney Kitaeff, he worked for a Boston-area firm specializing in residential mortgage foreclosure. He has been a guest speaker on that subject at the Massachusetts School of Law.
In addition to representing debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, Josh has represented clients in various contested matters before the Bankruptcy Court and in the Massachusetts Superior Court. Josh has also represented clients in the fields of landlord/tenant as well as family law, and brings valuable experience to the firm.
Josh is also an accomplished pianist and played music professionally for many years. When not practicing law, you will most likely find him at the piano and spending time with his three children.
Ruben Fernandez is a bilingual paralegal with Kitaeff & Associates, P.C. assisting in bankruptcy law, having joined the firm in 2013.
Ruben graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a bachelor's degree in legal studies and a minor in political science. Previously, Ruben worked with the Lawrence City Attorney where he prepared documentation for the foreclosure of tax liens, bankruptcy claims, and litigation cases as well as preparing closing documents for real estate sales. While a paralegal with the firm, Ruben has also become a law student at the Mass School of Law and is an exquisite Spanish interpreter and knowledgeable paralegal for the firm's clients who need his assistance.
In a prior life, Ruben was a boxer (undefeated). He also ran and operated his very own small business for several years. Ruben’s hobbies include reading, sports, and playing the piano.
Suzanne Antinoro is a paralegal with Kitaeff & Associates, P.C., and has been with the firm since 2014.
She graduated from Merrimack College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. After college, Suzanne became an expert in the specialized transportation field for celebrities and other high end clients visiting the Boston area. Suzanne also spent time honing her skills in the food service industry and enjoyed varied employment while she helped raise her wonderful family. As a paralegal and member of the support staff at Kitaeff & Associates, Suzanne assists the principal attorneys, works directly with clients and has become an expert intake specialist. In addition, she assists the firm in its marketing efforts, helps manage its website and produces its videos.
When not at work, she enjoys photography, spending time with her family, and listening to live jazz and blues performances.
Mildred J. Diaz is a bilingual paralegal with Kitaeff & Associates, P.C. having joined the firm in 2015.
Before joining the firm, Mildred worked for NACA (Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America) as the office manager, and her duties included helping members achieve their dreams of becoming homeowners. She assisted clients in arranging permanent home loan modifications (usually with a favorable interest rate). She helped prevent foreclosures for members in danger of losing their houses. Mildred has already learned a vast amount of knowledge in bankruptcy proceedings and provides spanish translations for the diverse population of clients that the firm assists.
Mildred's hobbies include reading, dancing, crafting, and cooking. In addition, Mildred is a monster at couponing and has saved family and friends (and the firm) millions of dollars as she asks everyone for coupon flyers.
Stephanie Goodman is a paralegal with Kitaeff & Associates, P.C, having joined the firm 2015. She is also currently a student at the Massachusetts School of Law, looking forward to her J.D. degree in June, 2018.
Stephanie graduated from Merrimack College with a bachelor's degree in political science and minors in both pre-law, and ethics in law and society. Prior to joining the firm, Stephanie worked for Vocell Bus Company as a marketing specialist, creating websites and organizing transportation for clientele. While working for Kitaeff & Associates, Stephanie has used her skills in marketing to network in the Lowell, Lawrence, Newburyport, and Haverhill district courts.
Previously, Stephanie blogged about trends in fashion and cosmetics, as well as the adventures in life. Stephanie’s hobbies include going to barre classes, various outdoor activities, and living life to the fullest. She does not like jazz.
