Attorney Kitaeff, a former federal Bankruptcy Trustee, is the principal attorney at Kitaeff & Associates, P.C. Jeff has represented thousands of consumer and business debtors in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases.
In the late 1970’s, Jeff was appointed to the very first panel of trustees in the U.S. Trustee’s office, when that office was first created within the U.S. Department of Justice. As a result of the success of that program, the Office of the U.S. Trustee now includes 21 regions throughout the country, and over 1,000 federal bankruptcy panel trustees.
Jeff teaches Bankruptcy Law at the Massachusetts School of Law in Andover and has also taught Business Law at Merrimack College. He regularly speaks at seminars and other programs presented to trade groups, attorneys, and other professionals.
Jeff graduated from Clark University in 1971 and earned his J.D. from the New England School of Law in 1974. He is a member of the Boston Bar Association, the Lawrence Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA).
Jeff’s hobbies include listening to jazz and blues, drinking an occasional single malt scotch and playing a fair (but wonderfully enjoyable) round of golf.
